Here are some of the compositions I started playing around with, I'll work with these to start with at least, as assets for the covers and then maybe here an there inside the magazine. I used a film grain art filter that was on my camera to create a high contrast and grainy effect that I think suits the idea of DIY and Lo-Fi because it's nice and grungey. I played with the apeture settings to change the amount of white and black in the images. Again I think it's best to look at the effectiveness of this when viewing them in context.
