Page numbers

Page numbers weren't very well considered before, we just had them in the corner as standard. Then Ross hit upon the genius idea of having them in them inside the bar that runs down the side. This was a brilliant way of utilising that area practically. We decided to have the page numbers for both the recto and the verso sides of the spread in that. This means that people can also see which page they are when flicking through very casually with grater ease then if it was placed on both sides of the spread.

It was a bit of a nightmare to do because the 'previous page' marker tool didn't appear to work at first. We had some help from Mike, the digital technician. He managed to figure out that we had to have two text boxes linked across both spreads on the master page, and that the second text box had to overlap the marker in order for it to work like so:
